3 weeks before the little darlings are at home for 6 weeks. Are we ready for this? 💥 I know I am. Last year I worked all the way through and even dealt with work ‘issues’ whilst abroad with the family. Not this year.The guilt I felt was horrid 😞 I have to remember why I became a VA in the first place.My plan….Two whole weeks off mid Aug. Like really off. Totally unavailable. Off every Friday (norm)Working day will look something like this; 7-10.30am4-5pm8pm - 10pmI will never get this time back so I’m protecting it at all costs.❤️Oh and guess what?We have capacity for a couple more clients and most team members work all through the Summer hols so BAU. I’m sick of pawn (spelt incorrectly intentionally!) 🤦🏻♀️ Day 3 on Fbk and I’ve seen…- More bare 🍑 than you can shake a stick at ! - 🍉 🍉 in my inbox every damn day. - 🐓 flying around like they’re going out of fashion. Seriously ?! Day 1: Lots of lovely followers from the VA world and some people I know from the LinkedIn world and two sales. Day 2: Bam! What is this?! Trust me when I say you don’t have to be n3ked to be s3xy!!(In a business sense of course !) Be passionate about interests. Let that brilliant sense of humour shine. Show kindness to others.Be confident but not arrogant.Those people who feel safe on other platforms and are scared of LinkedIn. Yesterday I experienced something brand new. 🆘 ‘MMM’ - Motor Mouth Moment- Words came out before I thought.- Pure embarrassment on a call.- I wanted to be the Homer Simpson GIF where he backs into a bush (you know the one, right?!).Apparently, with excitement and passion comes ‘blurty out syndrome’ 🤣I knew what I meant but what I said sounded co*cky, pretentious and I think I came across a bit of a 🐮.That is not me ! I’m humble and doubt myself all of the time. I told the team about my embarrassment I voicenoted friends in shame 🤣Luke Manton’s comment as he witnessed this moment ‘she said what she said’ cue slaaaaay movement. 💅🏼 Maybe he brings out my sassy side ?! Yeh let’s blame him. Anyway, long story short…Nobody understood my embarrassment and said ‘that’s just confidence, you know you’re good at what you do’. Confidence Vs co*ckiness Who knows what it was but I don’t know where it came from! Have you ever said something on a call and then wanted the ground to swallow you up? Yes I was having a business meeting with another VA. Figure that one out 😉👀

Expose yourself 📸 Just put it out there ! A couple of weeks ago, I openly admitted that I was a little nervous about posting something new. I’d got into a little posting ‘comfort bubble’Absolutely nothing wrong with that…😊 I was still getting good engagement.😊 The leads were still coming in. 😊 I was still building relationships.But I had enquiries coming in for things that I didn’t offer. Who knew ?People want to pay for my expertise.People want me to educate them.People want me to share my experiences.People want me to talk about tried and tested methods.It’s all coming back to these three things which I love…🍎 Teaching.🍎 Helping people.🍎 Seeing people succeed.So I threw power hours out there into the abyss!I’m fully booked with these until mid July 😮 And guess what? They’re not all VAs. Some are other business owners that want to chat about LinkedIn and lead generation on here. Life is feeling meaningful.Life is feeling purposeful.Go with your calling ❤️What do you feel you were put on this earth to do? 🌍

Are you living life on a wing and a prayer?As business owners, I think we all have very ‘busy’ minds.🧠 Oooh I could do this!🧠 Oooh screenshot that, I love it!🧠 Next week, I’m going to do X,Y and Z.🧠 I’ll have that done in a week.🧠 I’ll pin that email so I don’t forget…3 wks later it’s still there. We are in survival mode.We know that we’re responsible for our own achievements and actions.Some people thrive under pressure.Some crumble.What I’m saying is we are all different and having a loose plan mapped out at the very beginning is necessary.Later down the line, the plan solidifies.Last week was about strategy for me (and fun, and work, and sun!) and for the first time, I feel I’ve got a rock solid plan.I’m clear of my end goal. I don’t fall in love easily.But I have….again. What a floozy 🙈With Dubai ☀️ I’ll be honest, I’ve never had any desire to come out here. It’s never been somewhere that was ‘on the list’. But there’s something special about it…The entrepreneurial buzz.The cleanliness.The efficiency.The high standards.When I posted a photo on Insta saying ‘SpaceTime does Dubai’, little did I realise that I would mean that in a literal sense.I flew out for one client and I’m leaving with a few more…and new opportunities.This is the first trip of many.International work….here I come. ✈️ Who even am I?!!!LinkedIn party in Dubs anyone? 🎉
